Director's Message From Heather
What does it mean to be United Methodist? What is unique about this group on campus? These are the questions we are discerning this semester fall 2008. We welcome new students to join us at any point in the semester. We are a small group ministry centered on supporting and encouraging each other on each of our unique faith journeys. We know that God has created each of us in God’s own image and that we are all different. We all have had different experiences in personal relationships, church, and life. That is OK. We care for each other and want to help each other succeed on campus, professionally and spiritually. It is wonderful to be a college student at GVSU. There are many organizations to be involved with that will help create a well rounded student. It is my hope that everyone who is connected with the Wesley Fellowship feels loved by God and others. I pray that each person discovers spiritual gifts and God given strengths. It is important to be part of a community, you are not alone. We will celebrate Communion, go on retreats, ask questions about our faith, disagree, agree, love, discern, drink coffee, each wonderful meals lovingly prepared by local churches, and be in ministry to our campus all together. God is present with us always. We will celebrate our uniqueness and our diversity together as the body of Christ.
Join us on this journey!
